Czech Hedgehog Bookends

A few months ago I made a miniature version of a World War II, anti-tank obstacle known as a "czech hedgehog". I explained how it was the first thing I'd made that was strictly decorative and had no practical function. Well, I found a way to make them practical. Bookends. Roxy had some books for law school and had ONE jack bookend, but needed something on the other side. So, I got the idea to make an even smaller version and came up with this little guy. It's about 8" in diameter and does the job, keeping the books together. It's all made of angle iron and 1/8" thick steel, welded together and painted with a rusty-metal color. I grinded the corners down smooth to prevent gouging the desk top. I'm thinking of making a few more of these things and putting them up on Etsy, in pairs (for those other Ron Swanson fans).
