Great idea. How is the top of lid secured on pipe??
Very cool idea. I wonder if you’d get better light out of them by putting a highly reflective piece of curved steel inside the jar on the side closest to the house. Might have to try this on my back door.
I haven’t really had a problem with heat, depends on the type of bulb you use too. Our dining room chandelier is made with a bunch of jar lights and I’ve had it up for about 2 years now. You could just drill little holes in the top of the jar lid though if you wanted to.
do you have any problems with these getting too hot? i’m planning something similar and i’ve been wondering if i need a vent of some sort…
